Looking for healthy dessert? I’ll recommend Tutti Frutti. I find it cute as we get to make our own ice cream with the machines. It’s quite trendy too. They have all sorts of flavors offered. So far, I’ve seen Original, Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, and Guava. They changes new flavors regularly. So you wouldn’t feel bored eating the same flavors. (I actually have video of doing it but my stupid com very slow when uploading it)
It quite cute and so fun to do it yourself. It looks great rite? Even kids can do it! So convenient and attractive. My sis took Chocolate flavor and I took Strawberry flavor. Chocolate was nice but Strawberry was a bit sour and tasted weird. We get to put toppings as well. They have fruits, sprinkles, oreo, biscuit sticks and etc. My sis said sprinkles are lighter so we put that as our topping. Oh yeah, did I tell you, you pay according to the weight. They had weekends promotions where you will get RM 2 off if you get 200grams. (but this promotion ended last week). Don’t you worry, they have weekday specials as well. You’ll get discount on weekdays.
Last Sunday, I went to Tutti Frutti again and this time, I took a bigger cup and mixed two flavors.
Here’s the flyer I got from them. (sorry, scanner spoilt.. T_T)
Ok, this is how the shop looks like in Bangsar Shopping Center. It’s next to Times. It’s located at the new wing.
What are you waiting for? Go try now!! =D

This movie looks good. I wonder if Malaysia is allowed to screen this movie (with all those 18sx stuffs). However, if they allow it, I think they would cut the whole 18sx thing out. Sad. Alright, check out the trailer yourself:
Spartacus: Blood and Sand
Are you craving for Korean food? Well, I am. I’ve found this cafe in Pyramid located at Asian Avenue. It was not bad. However, the atmosphere is very satisfactory.
This is like a pancake. I love it a lot because it is a bit spicy. Not too spicy. I think the sauce is vinegar. Like Siu Long Bau, it tastes better with the vinegar sauce.
I love spicy food so I’ve ordered Kimchi flavor. However, it wasn’t spicy enough. So, I think it’s ok-ok lah. The noodle is nice actually. Not too soft or hard. Just right.
Actually, Koreans eat Dosirak (lunch box) when they have less money -according to Korean Dramas. The rice is actually too hard and it sticks together. So, I would recommend that you avoid ordering Dosirak. The chicken is hard and less but the taste is satisfactory. I think the sausage attracts me more. Haha. They also include soup and kimchi as a side dish.
Overall, I would say, the atmosphere is good but the food wasn’t the best comparing with other Korean restaurants. I enjoyed hearing updated Korean songs while I eat too. The food is too little and the price is too high.

I had dinner with my parents again. This time, no more Sushi Zanmai. We went to The Pressroom at Bangsar Shopping Centre. It’s near La Bodega and Coffee Bean at Ground Floor.
It is our first time at The Pressroom and they introduced to us as a French Cuisine. So, we went in because my dad desperately wants to drink beer.

Braised Wagyu cheek with turnip risotto (RM 36.00)
If you don’t know about Wagyu beef, it’s delicious, soft, tender, and juicy. Seriously. When you put into your mouth, it will melt immediately. It’s so juicy and tasty that you will beg for more. *sorry to those who do not consume beef*

I give it a 10/10! two-thumbs-up!
The rice is good as well. In my opinion. I love this dish. I would give it a 10/10. I love it because the taste suits me, the beef is really worth it and the rice is delicious with the sauce.

Spinach gnocchi with braised beef, tomato concasse and blue cheese sauce (RM 28.00)
At first I like it, but after a few bites, I was like “uggh”. So full and filling. It’s cheese! Blue cheese! Just share with your friends and it will be just right. I would recommend that it becomes a side dish or starter. If you are drinking wine with it, it would taste better.

I give it a 6/10.
Last is what I’ve ordered as the french waiter recommended it to me.

Duck confit with sauteed cepe and rosti potatoes (RM 32.00)
Looks nice right? But too dry. I love juicy meat or at least with sauce. So, my mum asked for sauce and he brought sauce for me. It’s better after the french waiter added sauce for me. I would give it a 7/10. It’s not bad actually.

I give it a 7/10! It's not bad
Lastly, my mum ordered coffee. She loves coffee. Me too but I can’t drink coffee cause I will either stay awake the entire night or my heart starts to feel painful. So, no coffee for me unless it’s in the morning

As you all know, this is a famous sushi restaurant that brings in the best ambiance and good quality sushi into Malaysia (compared to Sake Sushi and Sushi King). However, I was quite disappointed today when I went to Sushi Zanmai at The Gardens…
Actually, I plan to eat at home since it’s recession and I decided to do my parents a favor which is not spend money. But, my dad “fat hao” and wants to go out to eat. So he suggested Sushi Zanmai. I will never object when it comes to eating Sushi Zanmai because I think it’s really good and the service is acceptable (free flow of green tea…WOOHOO!). Every time I go out with my girlfriends, we will end up eating lunch/dinner at Sushi Zanmai, god knows why.
Anyways, let me show you some pictures of the sushi that I ate last Friday with my boi.

inari, black caviar, and ebikko sushi

Kanimayo Maki

Dai Dai Roll

Chuka Lidako

Salmon Zanmai
Here are some of my favorites!
However, today, I am very disappointed because I found that The Garden’s outlet is serving smaller potion, and I mean it. It’s like “shuk shui” already. Come on, recession already, you still want to make the portion smaller. Also, the waiter told us next month, they are changing the menu, adding and taking some off. Additionally, the price will INCREASE! Oh my god, there goes my pocket money. As soon as our orders come, three of us (mum, dad and me) had this shocked look on our face, while looking at those small small sushi. It wasn’t like that when I went last month.
Those delicious sushi that you see in the picture are from Pyramid outlet. So, if you are considering about eating Sushi Zanmai, better go to Sunway Pyramid outlet. The manager of The Gardens is very bad. I’ve noticed that he has been stereotyping a lot. He serves the ang mohs (westerners) first and very polite to them. For example, he will purposely walk to the ang moh’s table and ask them if everything is ok or how they find the food, ok or not and stuffs like that. For us, locals, he care shits about us. Really. It hasn’t been once, it has been a lot of times because I go very often.
My point is, Sushi Zanmai’s service has drop down from rate 10 to 3, in my opinion tho. Some of you find that it’ll not be a big problem. But to me, it is a very big problem because they really cut down a lot in terms of quality of food and service.

Finally it’s out, few days back. Faster, better, and more functions.
Today, I went to Isetan, Lot 10 for food fair. Can’t believe the crowd! It’s just japanese food. Why so many people? Anyways, my dad n mum gave up because it was really a lot of people lining up to pay. So, we decided to walk to Pavilion for lunch. We ate at Crystal Jade Restaurant where there is Shark Fin Soup for only RM 28.80++ per bowl and it’s really a lot. I was so full after drinking it.
After that, we decided to look for MAC store so that I can find out if my 32GB iTouch is available and guess what? So fortunate, I saw an exhibition at 1st floor. Also, there are promotions. FREE GIFTS! I booked one right away and they gave me free gifts. (Now my parents are having second thoughts of getting one for themselves or not =p)

iTouch 3rd Gen
For 32GB, they are giving away,
Skin [see through] and 4-in-1 dock adapter OR FM transmitter
If, you’re taking 64GB, you are getting,
all three items (Skin [see through] and 4-in-1 dock adapter AND FM transmitter)
and if you add RM 199 for 1 year of warranty, you can get,
Car charger
Well, it’s really worth it, I found out that the skin they are giving away worth at least RM68 and the car charger is RM 40 and above. Also, they gave me a member card and there’s a lucky draw. They said, if i use my member card to buy skin and screen protector, I get an additional of 10% of discount.
So, what are you waiting for? Go visit the exhibition tomorrow!
*This exhibition is under Epic Centre (5th floor, Pavilion)*
**So sorry for no pictures of food or exhibition, forgot to bring cam cam** =(
***iTouch review will be up as soon as I get my hands on it*** gg
This is very fun and surprising.. You’ll never thought of people at the concert will do such a thing..!!
mandymoorefan87 in youtube said “I’m pretty sure at 3:05 Oprah says “Oh My F*cking God!”….anyone else hear it?”
Lol i think i heard it too…
Anyway today is the 250th year celebration of the man they call Arthur Guinness. And Black Eyed Peas will be performing in Sunway Lagoon. Don’t know if Malaysia audience will do the same dance or not… Hmm..

That’s right, Super Junior-M has released their new song “Super girl” with Chinese and Korean version as well. Super Junior-M also known as SuJuM consists of 7 members, 5 SJ members (Han Geng, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun) and 2 non-SJ members (Henry and Zhou Mi) which are non-koreans.

This is very touching and different from others
During Hari Raya break, my friends and I decided to go to Malacca for a one-day-trip for food. So, we pack our sunglasses and mini fans, hop into the car and start speeding on the high way for delicious food. Not to forget, there are scenery and historic places to visit too.
So, have you ever queue up for food under the sun for a long time just because it’s famous and delicious? I have and so is the people over here.

Look at the people lining up
Yes, it is the most famous Chicken rice ball in Jonker Street, Malacca. Most of the people line up for this because it’s known as the most delicious and famous among all chicken rice ball restaurants. Fortunately, it wasn’t me to wait under the sun for it, my friends did. They are such gentle man and kind. Haha. That’s is why I borrowed my mini fan for them because it’s friggin’ hot. The chicken rice ball restaurant is small and old. It’s located at the start of Jonker Street which is right after the bridge.
In the meantime, I was across the road at San Shu Gong which is direct translation for “3rd Uncle Grandfather” ? Haha. Well, it means your father’s third uncle (your grandfather’s 3rd brother). It is well known for its chili sauce in my family. Try their Prawn chilli sauce, it’s delicious.

San Shu Gong shop
Also, I found something really cute!

Amoy fishy biscuite
I didn’t try it but you will have to wait 20 minutes for your cute waffles because its machine is too slow.

Amoy Machine

People working inside
After waiting for a long time, we finally get a place for the chicken rice balls. We ordered rice balls (of course), and half a chicken. As for drinks, we all ordered Barley water.

Chicken Rice Balls

Close up shot

Look at the juicy rice ball
The chicken rice balls were okay. I would say they taste like normal chicken rice. But what is unique is that they made it in a ball shape. Also, it gives me a feeling of eating sushi without the Salmon…or Unagi. Haha. But it’s really nice compared to other shops.

Chicken

Half a chicken
The chicken was okay. I would say it wasn’t the best. Comparing with chicken in Kuala Lumpur, theirs will be bad. I mean, look at it. It’s not well presented and there were full of bones. It’s like every piece of chicken has bones. I mean, they could have just detach the bones before chopping them into pieces. Well, I’m just saying, it could be better. But, it’s worth trying. (It’s like that every where in Malacca).
Also, you must eat the chicken rice balls with chili. Their chili is so spicy that my tongue gets numb after a few minutes.

Chili Sauce
After that, we went for sight seeing. There were lots of places to go to, but we were so tired of walking, we almost drop dead in the car. So my friend drove around to look at the beach. Unfortunately, the beach was almost gone because apparently, Malacca needs more land, so there were lots of sand and muds to cover the sea.
After a while, we went to a shop which is located near the shopping mall, Dataran Pahlawan for their famous cake. the cake is known as the ‘thousand layer cake’. It was delicious. I really like it. The restaurant is very nice and a lot of non-local people go try their cakes.

Original flavour

Chocolate flavour

Green Tea flavour
Original taste wasn’t that great for me. I really prefer green tea and chocolate. Anyways, it comes with tea/coffee for only RM 3 as you order their cakes. It’s located at the shop lots opposite Dataran Pahlawan. The shop is called Nadeje Patisserie. The address is Lot No. UB051, 052 & 053, Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall, Jln Merdeka, 75000 Bandar Hilir Melaka. You can call 06-284 3469.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to spend time at night for their famous Jonker Street ‘pasar malam’ because my friend had to get back early. So, if you wanted a half day trip in Malacca, I suggest that you try all these food because it’s really cheap and delicious. Also, better not go during Hari Raya because most of the shops are closed including the Menara taming Sari, the famous boat and other food shops.
There’s also an assam laksa shop which is very famous. Even Ho Chiak advertised for them last year. There were lotsa of food there. Whenever we pass by a shop or a stall, people buy food there and the crowd is crazy! However, if you see less people near the shop, I think it doesn’t really taste good. (Same goes to the Fish Paste Mee stall – which I tried and it sux). So, hope you would try these food when you reach Malacca.
