Sakura Cafe is an old restaurant located in Jalan Imbi, and this particular restaurant is famous for it’s Nasi Lemak (RM14.80) and also other oriental cuisine. I used to come to this restaurant very often with my parents when I was a kid 10-15 years ago, and their Nasi Lemak was really awesome back then.

After such a long period, yesterday I went to the restaurant and try the same dish that I ate when I was a kid and see if they still remain their awesome Nasi Lemak standard. But somehow I felt that their Nasi Lemak is not as awesome as last time anymore. It’s quite normal now… Or maybe it’s just me~

Sakura’s Grilled Chicken @ RM18 – The chicken is nicely grilled and the meat is soft and tender with every bite. This particular dish is quite nice (well maybe because I like to eat meat xD), but what I think this dish is lack of is SAUCE.

Kuro Goma Maguro @ RM45 – Tuna lovers must try xD~ I’m not sure about you guys, but as for me~ This dish is awesome! Basically it’s smoked tuna with some black sesame and peanut butter sauce… Yes! Peanut butter sauce, you heard that right! =D

Wagyu Saikoro Steak @ RM48 – The texture of the meat is really soft and juicy inside~ Yum yum!! Best if you got order some Sake as well~

Negima @ RM15 – Slices of chicken with some leeks on a stick! Tastes like Chinese ‘Char Siew‘ but using Chicken meat instead of pork.

Soft Shell Crab Karaage @ RM16 – Deep fried crispy soft shell crab~ Their serving of the soft shell crab is a bit larger than the other restaurants. I guess because of it’s size, its not crispy enough when they deep fried it.

Ishiyaki Goya Campuru @ RM18 – Panfry bitter gourd with straw mushroom and egg top with crispy… I don’t like bitter gourd~ So I don’t have much comment here… LOL!!

Chawanmushi @ RM6

Mango Pudding @ RM6 – Very Milky Taste!

Cafe Takahashi is located on the 6th floor of Pavilion inside Tokyo Street.

Teriyaki Sausage Burger @ RM8.90 – The vegetable is quite fresh, with an awesome Teriyaki sauce and a tender sausage in the middle.

Mango Pudding @ RM8.90 – Mmmm, I must say their pudding is really delicious!! Definitely worth trying!

Unagi Chawanmushi @ RM5.90 -

Cream Lobster @ RM32.90 - Argghh… Not really worth it for this dish… Although it looks awesome, but the lobster is not really that fresh… Or maybe it’s just my bad luck that they served me a lobster that isn’t that fresh…

Scallop and Mushroom @ RM21.90 - This dish is delicious, but the portion is really really small. See the pic below for more details.

I purposely put my iPhone beside to give you guys an idea about the size of the dish. Well the PLATE is really really huge but the portion inside is really small… And they only gave you 3 scallops and yeah they charge you RM21.90!! I can say that I myself can definitely eat 3 same dishes like that to just feel full. And I bet UNCLE KIANFAI can eat 8 of them just to feel abit full!!

Chicken Bolognese @ RM16.90 - As usual, their portion is really small

Citrust Honey Tea @ RM10.90

Japanese Style Hokkaido Corn Soup @RM8.90 – I dare you guys to try this! It’s the saltiest soup I’ve ever tasted! I don’t know the Chef was drunk on that day or it’s meant to be so salty… Oh my god I only managed to take a few sip then I leave it there =_______________=

Yeah this is a late post guys =(… And sorry for being inactive for such a long time. Was having lots of work to do… Went to Pavilion last week’s Friday to check out the opening of Tokyo Street. It’s located in Pavilion’s 6th floor.

Most of the shop inside have some kinda Japanese style decorations which is quite cool =P

Big big lantern in the middle @__@

The Loaf opened a shop here that sells Oyaki

Here’s the poster

And somehow the mineral water that they are selling is quite overrated and expensive @__@

Bought  a Sausage Cheese (Left) and Chicken Mushroom (Right) Oyaki here. Somehow I don’t quite like it… Because it’s quite oily =(… Or maybe that’s just me =P

Update post – Cafe Takahashi @ Pavillion Tokyo Street (6th Floor)

Banana Crumble @ RM24.90 – A delicious hot and cold dish from Swensen’s.  Served on a sizzling skillet pan~ It’s basically a banana crumble cake in the middle with caramelized fresh banana slices and some butterscotch cream sauce. And of course, with a vanilla ice cream on top. Truly awesome~

Swensen’s Banana Split @ RM19.90 - Ah~ A simple banana split! Sometimes the simplest thing is the best thing you can ever have. Strawberry, chocolate and vanilla ice cream with some chocolate, strawberry and pineapple toppings. Not to mention, 2 bananas of course. Somehow I really liked that small triangle ice cream waffle. Lol~

Merri-Mint @ RM15.90 - Definitely something a mint lover would try.

Swensen’s French Fries - Sorry about this readers, but I forget how much this costs. Lol~ Anyway their french fries are awesome as well, kinda like those they serves in Bubba Gump =). The french fries~ Their outer layer of the ‘skin’ is somehow crispy and the texture inside is soft and nice.

BBQ Half Chicken @ RM21.90 - Well if you’re hungry, you could still order some food in this Swensen’s outlet in PJ SS2. But bare in mind that their food is not that affordable in terms of the quality (Personal Opinion). The chicken is somehow overcooked.
